We are a key player in the commercial marketing of fuel products including lubricants and LPG in Tanzania.

Our entire business scope is broadly divided into key segments for ease of management and decision making. The fuels segment oversees our core business of fuels marketing and is segmented into Retail and Commercial business lines. Other business lines include Lubricants, Bitumen, LPG and Non-Fuel Business.


Retail

We run an elaborate network of modern Kobil branded Service Stations covering major towns and highways in the country. A majority of our Service Stations are in the commercial capital Dar es Salaam, the coastal region and Morogoro as well as the agriculturally rich Kilimanjaro and Lindi regions. We are aggressively expanding our network to cover the entire country.


Commercial

We are a key player in the commercial marketing of fuel products including lubricants and LPG in Tanzania. We control a substantial market share and have Kundan Singh Construction Company, M.A.Khalafi & Sons, SBI and Delina Transporters as some of our key commercial clients. Others include Makapo Contractors, Skol Contractors, Tigo, Linksoft, CGI Construction, and Hari Singh & Sons. In addition, we supply both fuels, LPG and Lubricants to major hotels in the country. Our business segment is fast expanding with new customers coming onboard.

Orpak is a very popular fuel management system in Tanzania

 

We run a unique and highly innovative fuel management system dubbed Orpak. Orpak has unparalleled user controls and ease of use features in the Tanzanian fuels market.  Simply, in Orpak, the fuels dispenser nozzle is fitted with a micro chip that reads the vehicle details once it comes into contact with a second chip fitted in the vehicles’ tank. This implies that one can tell the exact volume fuelled into the car as well as be able to keep tight controls on the specifics of purchases especially for fleet motorists.


Orpak is a very popular fuel management system in Tanzania and a majority of our fleet customers are enjoying the benefits of increased efficiency associated with the system.

We sell lubricants in bulk to our commercial customers.

We retail our Kobil brand of lubricants our Service Stations network and appointed resellers. In addition, we sell lubricants in bulk to our commercial customers.
We sell automotive and industrial lubricants to our growing list of clients in key economic sectors including building and construction, manufacturing, and service industry. Some of our key commercial clients include China Roads and Bridges, China Henan, Braliwa, and Cimerwa.

Kobil lubricants are of the highest quality and are the benchmark upon which the quality and suitability of other lubricants are gauged.

Plans are underway to introduce K-Gas into the Tanzanian market

Plans are at an advanced stage to set up a high capacity K-gas filling and storage plant in Tanzania.

We are developing our non-fuel business as a key revenue stream for the Company.

In line with the KenolKobil Group overall business strategy, we are developing our non-fuel business as a key revenue stream for the Company. In this respect, we are focusing on maximum utilization of retail network by utilizing extra space for non-fuel businesses. We therefore lease out to reputable firms business premises within our establishments including Service Stations. Banks, mobile phone companies, car accessory retailers, pharmacies and fast food shops currently make up the bulk of our non-fuel business clients.
